5 Ways Non-Profits Can Increase Engagement With YouTube

Geoff Livingston wrote a very helpful piece for Mashable.com that discusses how nonprofits can best use Youtube to engage their community, volunteers, donors, etc.

One suggestion I would add is to consider posting videos of instructional or how to content related to your mission.  For example, if you are childrens’ protection agency, then a “How-To Calm A Crying Baby” video would tie into your mission of ending the cycle of abuse.  Another example might be for a disaster preparedness agency to post a video on what to do in a tornado or hurricane. Creating meaningful value for your followers and fans will be rewarded with more retweets and reforwards, donations, and volunteers.
